Proofs are here! And Survey Follow Up!

Hi everyone! The proofs of the first issue are here! But before I show those off to you I wanted to go over surveys real quick since some people have been having problems finding theirs. If you didn't get an email for your survey, you can find it on the main Temerity Campaign Page. You'll see this icon with "You're a Backer" at the top of the page. Click "view."

  From there, click "Survey" and then "Respond Now." That will take you to the response form where you can fill out your info and submit it! 

And that's it! Deadline to get your name on the Thank You page is this Friday!

  Our proofs for the comic came this morning and we've been using them to make tweaks to the art and final design of the book. Here's a little preview of the different covers and interiors of the book.

   So far they're looking really good and the colors are turning out rich and beautiful. We found a few mistakes that we might not have noticed if it weren't for these! We also got a proof of one of the sketch covers on the art paper the printer will be using and Chad took the liberty to test it out with pencils, copic, and ink...

Digital Downloads are Ready! + Shipping Update!

Hi everyone! For those of you who pledged 5$ or more, you should have gotten a message with how to claim your digital download! If you didn't get this for some reason, please let me know and I'll be sure to message you the information on how to get your copy. 

Also, an update on printing! The printing is now complete and the books are being boxed up and prepped for their ocean voyage. The shipper and printer are currently working on setting up a pick up date to take them to port. We are express shipping a box to check the quality and so we can have a few on hand for some upcoming conventions and those should be here Friday. We'll post pics as soon as we get them!

Here are some of our upcoming events: 

Salt Lake FanX - Jemma will have a booth and Chad will be wandering the floor. If you find him, maybe you can snag a signature from him.

Cincinnati Comic Expo - Chad Only.

New York Comic Con - Chad and Mmmmaybe Jemma. Enrica, our colorist from Rome, will be wandering the floor.

Printing Complete!

Like it says in the title: The printing is done! We just got a box containing 5 copies of each variant cover to check quality and they are beautiful!

The colors turned out great and the foil printing is awesome. We opted for a slightly thicker paper than standard comics to give it a more weighted and higher quality feel. I think you'll notice the difference when you get your copy of the book in the mail.

We wanted to show you some of the effects on the art sketch covers with the foil and the spot gloss. We are really happy with the superb quality of the printing. 

And of course, the interiors! The pages printed with rich colors that look even better in person!

Right now, our shipment of the remaining copies are estimated to arrive sometime at the end of September. We will be taking some of our copies to our upcoming conventions - so if you're going to Salt Lake FanX or Cincinnati Expo, be sure to stop by our booths to check them out! If you're attending those shows, you can send us a message and we can try to prepare your reward to be picked up using what copies we had expedited. 

For those who've downloaded the Temerity PDF - we wanted to give a special thanks to those who have rated it on gumroad and left us such wonderful comments here on kickstarter! It's so rewarding to us as creators to see such a positive response to this project we have put so many hours into. If you haven't gotten your digital download yet, be sure to check your messages for the promo code that allows you to download the PDF off of Gumroad for free. 

Also, I wanted to highlight an ongoing kickstarter right now! Charles D. Moisant, who did one of our guest art prints is running a campaign to get his horror comic printed. If you're a fan of the 80's horror genre with monsters, be sure to check it out!

The first issue of Temerity is over 200% Funded! THANK YOU!

Time flies! Our campaign is almost over with only 7 days left. But we could still use your help to reach more stretch goals! Please share this campaign with your friends and family. The more we raise in the next week, the more rewards we can give our backers and the better off we will be financially for starting on issue 2.

Also, if you're at San Diego Comic Con, Chad Hardin has a preview of the first issue printed that you can check out and read! He's at table AA-22. Be sure to stop by and say hi!

Surveys Sent! + Fulfillment Timeline

Hi everyone! It's been a week since Temerity funded! Thank you everyone for your incredible support!

Everyone should have received their surveys through Kickstarter. If you didn't, be sure to check your spam. We'd really love to have these all filled out by August 9th - which is when we go to print! So if you want your name on the Thank You page of the book, be sure to fill it out by then. 

Fulfillment Timeline:

Right now, we have ordered the printed proofs of the book and they should be arriving on Monday. Basically, this will allow us to double check our work, make sure everything is laid out correctly, and make sure the colors and art print the way we want them too. 

All edits will be made this week and prepped for final print. Kickstarter will transfer our funds to us on or around Friday. We'll upload final files over the weekend so printing can start Monday!

Printing and production typically takes about 2 weeks, so books will be ready to ship around August 24th. 

Since we are printing in China, we expect shipping and customs to take between 6-8 weeks. This can vary a lot depending on customs and weather, but we'll keep you updated the progress of their journey. 

The main order of books should arrive by mid-October and we will start packaging and shipping your rewards to you! We expect that a majority of you should start receiving your books early November if all goes well!

Digital Downloads:

We expect digital downloads will be ready shortly after we go to print. We are still deciding on how to deliver your digital copy to you - if it'll be a service similar to Gumroad, or something else. But you can expect an email with your copy around mid August.

Add Ons:

In the past we've used PledgeMaster as a means to collect surveys and allow people to add on extras to their rewards. At this point we are still deliberating on how we want to offer Add Ons and may use a different service. For now, we'll be using Kickstarter to collect your information and we will let you know about add-on availability in a future email.
